My primary curriculum is a process-focused collaborative painting class—often with a live musical accompaniment—with older adults and underserved communities in Brooklyn.
Participants create vibrant combinations of exploratory mark-making with other community residents, passing canvases back and forth every few minutes. We gather to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of creating visual art. Through collaboration, we aspire to cultivate conversation & enjoy time with neighbors.
Current classes: Mar. 12 - Apr. 2; Brooklyn Public Library, Bay Ridge branch. Wednesdays, 1:30 - 3pm. 7223 Ridge Blvd.
All materials are provided. No experience is necessary and all skill levels are welcome. To inquire about booking a class, contact Rusty here.
