SMALL THINGS, as a body of work, was born out of a need to fill a gallery space in two weeks time.
I talked it over with objects from around the house, based on their willingness to fit within the parameters of a stack of petite, wooden boards that I had come to possess. All of my sitters were patient and
taciturn under the strong lighting. Most enjoyed the experience of overnight portraiture.
The alarm clock, sadly, went into hiding under the bed and didn't emerge again for many moons.
